What are Spiritual Vitamins?
It's a small jar filled with scriptures containing God's promises. "This Spiritual Vitamin Jar is brought to you from God's Word, the Bible." The objective is to reach in and pull out a 'vitamin', read it, reflect on it, apply it, share it, appreciate it, and pass it on!
God's Blessings on you as you seek to know Him in a personal way.

Four years ago my friend, a new Christian, was baptized and joined our church. I gave her a "Vitamin" jar that I had been making for a long time to give as gifts. She loved it. She took it to her AA meeting one night. After the meeting one man took a big step and pulled out a strip of paper and read the content silently. In a few seconds his eyes opened wide and he asked her where that thought came from. He told her it was exactly what he needed at that time in his life. That got the interest of others and they all took one and were amazed. As she related to me later many people in AA know God as a judging God and they know what their judgment is. They have done some pretty bad things in their drinking days. What they need most of all is the knowledge that there is forgiveness for their sins no matter how deep.
The next day my friend came to me and said, "Nancy, we need to go into business making these. There are a lot of hurting people in our community and they desperately need them.” So, we went and bought all the jars we could and began to make them for her friends who bought them right away. We called them, "Spiritual Vitamin Jars". Her friends were buying them as fast as we could make them. That Christmas we sold over 200. Then our head elder got in the picture and he came up with the dosage label on the back. My son, Will, came up with a logo that we put on the bottom of each jar. Because the people who were buying them were mostly unfamiliar with the Bible verses they were reading, we put a little tag on the outside telling them that the promises in the jar come from the Bible and a little paragraph about salvation.
My friend was cleaning houses at that time. One day her friend asked her to clean the house of another friend who was very depressed because her father had Alzheimer's and she was devastated. She was not taking care of their little girls as a result. So, my friend went into the house, the owners were gone and she had the key, and she began cleaning. She said you could almost feel the sadness in the house. On her way out, after saying a prayer for the owners she remembered that she had a jar in the car. She put it on the mantle.
A few days later the husband, a police officer, called my friend and when he identified himself she was a little worried that perhaps he was angry at what she did. No, in fact, he told her that his wife began to read the promises and it has ministered to her enough that she was back to her self and was even playing with their little girls again. He thanked her for doing that act of love.
